Trust and Company Bookkeeping - Level 2

Course Overview

This course is designed for professionals who are ready to take the next step in trust and company accounting. Whether you’ve recently qualified as an accountant but lack hands-on experience in the Guernsey trust and company environment, or you’ve spent years in bookkeeping and want to progress toward preparing full financial statements—this course will bridge the gap.

Building on foundational concepts (including those covered in our Trust and Company Bookkeeping - Level 1 | GTA course, delegates will deepen their understanding of trust and company accounting practices, explore the structure and purpose of financial statements via practical examples and workshops and gain practical skills to support accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Course Content

  • Preparation of trust financial statements using a practical case study
  • Application of FRS102 to Trust and company financial statements
  • Preparation of company financials statements with hands-on guidance and real-world examples
  • Accounting for property and investment property in trust and company structures
  • Applying key theoretical accounting concepts to everyday scenarios
  • Reviewing financial statements through a guided practical case study


Benefits

The objective of this intermediate trust accounting course is to provide you with further knowledge and practical application of trust accounting issues.

On completion of the course, you should feel that you have had the opportunity to practice your accounting skills and increase your knowledge in relation to trust and company accounting.

Vicky Le Poidevin FCA, Dip IoD regularly provides interactive and engaging training sessions to a wide range of financial services and commercial delegates. Vicky's training is under pinned by practical, real-life examples that leverage her 20 plus years' experience in the financial services sector. Vicky believes that delegates learn by doing, so she tries to include practical exercises into her courses to ensure the learning experience remains interesting, relevant, and engaging. As well as running numerous training courses, Vicky is a management consultant and has worked with numerous businesses on multiple projects, giving her a unique knowledge and experience to enrich her training. Vicky's generalist financial services experience also includes 10 plus years of auditing and accounting with a big four firm /regional firm and holding senior roles in both the Fund and Trust sector.
